Dosage
2014 was the year of the ""weather waltz"" with contrasting weather conditions: a magnificent spring, a cool and rainy summer and a glorious month of September, conducive to, ripe grapes with an excellent balance.
This vintage, which was carefully nurtured by gentle, sustainable viticulture, delivered the full potential of these fleshy, crunchy grapes.
A snapshot of a year, this Rosé comes from 35 small staggered plots on the warm terroirs of Cumières planted with Pinot noir, and the cooler limestone soils of Chouilly, where the Chardonnay grows. From these contrasting soils of Domaine Louis Roederer in the Vallée de la Marne (also known as the Vignoble de la Rivière) comes an original rosé, always produced as a vintage champagne. The cellar master has a special destiny in store for it, something unique in Champagne, a long, gentle infusion of the Pinot noir that will enable him to draw out its juicy, ripe character while preserving its tremendous saline freshness.
Aged for at least four years in the cellars, this is a graceful, intense and fresh Rosé Champagne unlike any other.
Tasting notes
With the great sensation of freshness and fullness that is typical of Louis Roederer Rosés, this 2014 vintage is a role-model champagne.
Creamy, deep and mineral, with fresh, zesty red fruit complemented by a touch of spice, cinnamon and pepper, it expresses itself in a lovely crisp, light and smooth maturity. A scintillating, joyful and saline rosé, this vintage champagne retains a certain fullness that makes it particularly good with food.

Ageing potential
Our champagnes undergo an extended period of ageing to allow them to gently evolve and mature, gaining in structure and depth, whilst developing highly nuanced aromas over the years.
You may enjoy them in the purity and chalky freshness of their youth or, if you appreciate more mature champagnes, wait a few more years or even decades for their candied, spicy notes to emerge. Our champagnes have a long future ahead of them and their destiny is in your hands!
