Late Release 1995 - Champagne Louis Roederer

The 1995 vintage was a very classic year for Champagne with perfect weather conditions that gave rise to elegant wines structured by a superb acidity and revealing a magnificent aromatic complexity.

The expression of balanced maturity and well integrated flavours is further enhanced by the Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs blended with a smaller proportion of Pinots noirs grown in chalky soils.

Tasting notes

The nose transports us to the epicentre of this terroir with notes of undergrowth and chalk which evolve towards slightly peaty, smoky notes, white truffle and fruit jellies.

The rich, elegant and extremely well-crafted palate brings us an impression of umami with its combination of sweet, delightfully vegetal and iodised notes. The rich, creamy texture is followed by a fresh, dynamic and saline finish. So powerful yet so ethereal, an expertly performed balancing act!

The ultimate pairing : Seared langoustines or veal sweetbreads in a morel mushroom sauce.

“ Champagne in all its glory! The nose transports us to the epicentre of this terroir with notes of undergrowth, chalk and smoke. ”

Cellar Master

Ageing potential

Having been carefully preserved for many long years in the complete darkness of the Louis Roederer cellars, in perfect temperature and humidity conditions, these vintage champagnes are now reaching the peak of their maturity, the very apex of their potential.
