The 1995 vintage was a very classic year for Champagne with perfect weather conditions that gave rise to elegant wines structured by a superb acidity and revealing a magnificent aromatic complexity.
The expression of balanced maturity and well integrated flavours is further enhanced by the Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs blended with a smaller proportion of Pinots noirs grown in chalky soils.
Tasting notes
An exceptionally well-balanced vintage, this 1995 combines an iodised dimension with notes of cocoa and roasted hazelnuts and reveals a chalkier character after aeration.
Volume and generosity are followed by a limestone tension contrasting beautifully with the soft, oily and savoury bubbles. The finish reveals a lovely long, invigorating and saline acidity, within a natural balance.
“ This is a rosé champagne that delivers all the freshness of the year, somewhere between a white and a rosé, revealing the superb balance and satiny finesse that are the hallmarks of this 1995 vintage which, over the years, has become one of Champagne's great classics. ”

Ageing potential
Having been carefully preserved for many long years in the complete darkness of the Louis Roederer cellars, in perfect temperature and humidity conditions, these vintage champagnes are now reaching the peak of their maturity, the very apex of their potential.
