A year of contrasts, both in terms of temperature and rainfall, 2006 will go down in the history of Champagne as a record-breaking vintage that produced rich, complex wines.
Originating from 10 hectares of vines growing in the clay soil of the Cumières hillsides and cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics, this ""undosed"" champagne is the translation of a fresh wine in a sunny year. It resulted from the encounter between the designer Philippe Starck, Louis Roederer CEO Frédéric Rouzaud, and cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, who came up with the idea of creating, together, this wine of the terroir, soil and climate, the perfect illustration of the alliance between Man and Nature.
Brut Nature Blanc is a wine of light, contrasts and texture, associating the intense saline freshness of its terroir with the maturity of the vintage. This champagne is a celebration of the present moment, without compromise or approximation, borne of a lovely dynamic.
Tasting notes
After 6 years ageing in the bottle, Brut Nature reveals itself in its pure state, “undosed”, in a crisp-cut style, very true to the grape.
You can enjoy it now, paired with a refined, slightly salty cuisine.
This champagne, the first of its kind, instantly seduces with its fresh, light character. It shows an ethereal style that is instantly captivating on the nose, with notes of white flowers, pear and citrus peel, followed by grilled and smoky notes of cocoa bean. The palate is masterful, borne by clean flavours, a youthful energy, freshness and elegance. This champagne's purity and fine bitter finish make it the perfect partner for seafood.

Ageing potential
Our champagnes undergo an extended period of ageing to allow them to gently evolve and mature, gaining in structure and depth, whilst developing highly nuanced aromas over the years.
You may enjoy them in the purity and chalky freshness of their youth or, if you appreciate more mature champagnes, wait a few more years or even decades for their candied, spicy notes to emerge. Our champagnes have a long future ahead of them and their destiny is in your hands!
