Collection 247 - Champagne Louis Roederer

This 247th harvest at Louis Roederer is the complete opposite of the 2021 harvest.

While 2021 was influenced by an oceanic climate with wet and rainy conditions, 2022 was characterised by a continental climate with plenty of sunshine and generally dry weather.

Tasting notes

This impressively intense wine delights with notes of ripe, juicy fruit.

Soft floral tones and lightly roasted spices then follow, adding depth to this immediately enticing profile. The palate is fresh and fleshy, with a creamy volume that unfolds with a joyful succulence. The bubbles create a gentle lift, carried by the energy of a slight bitterness, right through to a finish imbued with chalky and saline nuances.

“ Collection 247 expresses all the generosity of the 2022 fruit, beautifully balanced by the chalky, smoky quality created by the Perpetual Reserve and the long, mouthwatering signature of the Louis Roederer Champagne House. ”
Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon,
Cellar Master

Ageing potential

Our champagnes undergo an extended period of ageing to allow them to gently evolve and mature, gaining in structure and depth, whilst developing highly nuanced aromas over the years.

You may enjoy them in the purity and chalky freshness of their youth or, if you appreciate more mature champagnes, wait a few more years or even decades for their candied, spicy notes to emerge. Our champagnes have a long future ahead of them and their destiny is in your hands!
