Dosage
The 246th harvest at Louis Roederer was a challenging, gruelling and in many ways confusing one. 2021 will be remembered as a year when the vineyard team showed unwavering commitment in the face of what was probably one of the most difficult winegrowing seasons since 1958, resulting in low yields!
Tasting notes
This is a delectably light and fresh champagne, with an exceptional proportion of Chardonnay lending it finesse, elegance, and a subtle chalky quality.
Its delicately toasted and iodised reductive notes give it a finely honed character, complemented by hints of yellow fruit and candied citrus. The dynamic, fresh and creamy bubbles contribute to its overall delicacy, underpinned by an impression of salinity and a subtly toasted aromatic trail.

Ageing potential
Our champagnes undergo an extended period of ageing to allow them to gently evolve and mature, gaining in structure and depth, whilst developing highly nuanced aromas over the years.
You may enjoy them in the purity and chalky freshness of their youth or, if you appreciate more mature champagnes, wait a few more years or even decades for their candied, spicy notes to emerge. Our champagnes have a long future ahead of them and their destiny is in your hands!
